I never have writer's block, because if I do, I go to sleep and
dream. Then I write.
It's something beyond self-reliance, as painted by Emerson and Thoreau,
the two greatest philosophers of my childhood. My dreams help me
grow, even guide how I live. I have two destinations, really. The
first we all have, simply to die.
I have a second destination, really, and it's a little upside-down
from the way most people think. Many people have dreams at night,
sure. And some people deconstruct or analyze those dreams, and even
the dreams of others. To me that's simply weird. To me, that's like
slicing up a baby.
My second destination is for my "real self," the part
of me that dreams at night, to wake up.
For me, my second destination is to reach into the enlightenment
of everyday life, and to live.
