I have curious credentials. I'm well-educated (Dartmouth College,
where I dropped out as a third-term senior, because I wanted to
get away from Vermont drug dealers who were playing with pistols),
well-connected (I was brought up in Saint Louis "high society,"
so I never felt I was "missing something"), and I hardly
ever follow "the party line." (This both serves me well,
and gets me in trouble.)
I've worked at IBM, Atari, and a think tank in Cambridge where
I made major contributions. While in Cambridge, I was published
in a refereed Computer Science journal (Software
Practice & Experience), a popular computing magazine (Creative
Computing), and later, in California, an avant-garde literary
'zine (Shades of Gray). I contributed to each of these journals,
mainly, just to see if I could, and am only mentioning all this
because a little earlier, I had been tying off either arm and shooting
up methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine, which gave me sort of a
sneaky ability.
I can really sense myself.
