Night Before Last: (Dream) The stack of gold-rimmed china has philosophical engravings on each plate. (Fin) I wake up and remember the viciousness of my ex-mother-in-law, how I shipped her daughter's porcelain back to her in a steamer trunk, without adequately stuffing the china with newspaper wads, allowing every bit of china to be shattered to bits in transit. From Virginia, my ex-mother-in-law telephoned the police in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and had so much influence over them, one of the officers came to my unlocked home and left a note on my bed, asking me to please be more careful!

Last Night: (Dream) One-hundred-forty red-haired women have come together and I get the bright idea for them to arrange themselves, somehow, based upon the similarities and differences in the color of their hair. (Fin) Waking up, the dream is entirely shattered when I consider the negativity that would have been generated by my mother, who would have insisted on everyone proving the color of their hair by exhibiting their pubic hair! Now that's something I saw her do more than once, taking special delight when her pubic area had been shaved. Seeing my mother's raw and insane narcissism in this direct way (her version of family values!) had some effect on me. Her version of honesty was, Well to Prove It, Take Off All Your Clothes!

(Dream) There are thirty-one clandestine government agencies, and I'm going over the list after someone tells me the name of one agency has been removed. (Fin) I wake up remembering Whitney and me spending the night over there in Martha's Vineyard, staying with one of her friends, sleeping on a mattress out on an enclosed cottage porch, spending next day down by the beach.
