Red Hurts

A cherry-pink or plum sun plume shot straight into the sky some twenty-two degrees high just before sunrise, and I was very careful I didn't run off the road. Last night Jessica told me (A dream she had had a few days before) She and her boyfriend are at her childhood home in Connecticut and the swimming pool is almost empty. There's a gigantic dead fish in it, and it really stinks. (Fin) Jessica asked me what her dream meant and I said I had no idea. Some people like to analyze or interpret dreams, and I don't. I mean, my dreamself doesn't try to analyze me! (Last night) I'm with Virginia and a bunch of friends and we're going out on the town. We decide the fun thing to do is go from one bad bar to another in search of the best bad bar food. I ask a girl, what would you do if someone came in with a bunch of friends and said they were going from one bar to another just to find some good food? Until she suddenly realizes that's what they're doing now. And this is the way to pick up girls, a voice in my dream tells me ... (Fin) ... just as I wake up, two minutes to four, and check my alarm clock. I knew I hadn't set it! So I did, and went back to sleep for seven more minutes, until it rang.
